Tinley Park, IL – The Board of Directors of ITS Technologies & Logistics, LLC (ITSTL) today announced the appointment of Steven L. Rubin as Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1st. Rubin will be based in ITSTL’s Tinley Park headquarters and will also become a member of the Board.

ITSTL Chairman and Carlyle Group Managing Director, Robert Dove, said, “ITS will benefit from Steve’s unique blend of industry knowledge and executive management experience in the private equity and public company realms. The Board is confident in Steve’s abilities to lead ITSTL to its fullest potential.”

Added Rubin, “I am excited to join ITS, a company with a great history and brand in the intermodal industry. I look forward to working with our associates to deliver excellent service and value to ITS’s customers.”

Rubin is deeply familiar with ITSTL’s business and customers as a result of nearly 25 years in the intermodal and container shipping industries. His experience includes serving as CEO of TRAC Intermodal, the largest chassis owner and lessor in the U.S., and Group Vice President Operations and Logistics at Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K” Line), one of Japan’s big three shipping lines. Most recently he served as CEO of Horizon Lines, a SeaLand successor company and the largest U.S. domestic container shipping line until its sale last month to Matson Navigation. Rubin served as a Director of the Intermodal Association of North America for six years, and Chairman of that organization in 2011. In the mid-2000s, Rubin served on the Executive Committee of the Ocean Carrier Equipment Management Association, a trade association that owns Consolidated Chassis Management, the largest pure chassis pool-management company in the U.S.

ITSTL is a portfolio company of Carlyle Infrastructure Partners, a fund sponsored by The Carlyle Group, and Mi-Jack Products.
